if 2 people have a queen and there are two queens on the table who wins. assume there is a king a jack a seven and two queens on the table. i have a queen and a four my opponet has a quenn and a five who wins. do we split the pot since there is a king on the table or does my opponet win because he/she has a five and i have a queen and a four. any help would be appreciated.

I thought that he took the pot with the 5 kicker - unfortunate and a little harsh, but thats why it's not always a good idea to go in with a high and low card.

Yeah, that's right Blue. The kicker is generally the fallback to decide on a winner, and true enough it rewards those who play higher cards though it can feel a bit sickening to go down like that above situation.

Only comes into play if the tied hands only involve 4 or less cards though. It's the best 5 hands, so if you were tied with two people on (the same) two pair, the highest kicker would make the highest hand.
