Just looking for some thoughts here without a particular hand in mind. I always value real world experience as much as the percentages. I am also asking this more from a cash game perspective ( I play mainly online $100 or less buy in) rather than a tourney setting.

If you flop a sucker straight or a weak flush, how often are you getting out drawn with a higher straight or flush by the River? Not necessarily the numbers, just your true feeling. Folding these hands is completly based on how good you read your opponent. For me, its almost impossible to read players online at the limits I play.

Sometimes I think I may fold these to often and am to worried about ghosts. We have all seen the players who raise or reraise you with 2 pair or trips facing a suited flop. I am leaning towards playing these hands all the way through more and only folding when the board goes 4 deep to the straight or flush. My varience will go up but I am thinking overall it should be a positive EV play. If I am not willing to go to the river with these flops, then why play medium connectors both suited or unsuited.

Honestly suited cards improve two cards by about 3% over the same two cards not suited. But that does not mean you will make 3% more on the suited cards. What you make depends on how you play and it may very well be that a lot of players will loose more playing 7-8 suited then they will playing 7-8 off, simply becasue they tend to loose more with the small flushes. For my money, having cards suited does not really change a thing, I will not play any cards suited that I wold not play suited for the most part.

I'll try my hand with a pair of suited cards, nearly any, though if too much comes down on the flop and many stay in you can bet your bottom dollar you're not the only one with a flush.

They don't make a great difference, though if you can stay in cheaply it may be worth a shot - especially if an ace, king etc come down on the river evening hands out a little.
