Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney,

UTG (t1240.00)
Hero (t890.00)
MP1 (t1725.00)
MP2 (t1590.00)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Qh, Qc.

UTG folds, Hero raises to t100, MP1 calls t100, MP2 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB (poster) folds, BB calls t80.

Flop: (t310) Kc, 5d, 5c (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t150, MP1 calls t150, BB folds.

Turn: (t610) 9s (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 checks.

River: (t610) Kh (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets t70, Hero folds.

Final Pot: t680

In a cash game I call this in a second. What are your guys opinions on calling what seems like a value bet in a tourney situation?

Um, lets see. 70 to win 750? Even if he has a five, I'll pay him off. What more could you ask for than a guy betting 70 into a 680 pot with a full house (when it's pretty obvious that you don't have a king)? I would also say that the chances of him NOT having a five or a king are WAY better than 10 to 1. Those 70 chips you lose aren't going to kill you. You'll still have t570 with a big blind of t10. But if you add an extra 750 to your stack, that could be huge. It'll put you at t1390 and on par with the two players to your left. I call.

Yeah, definitely. That's a kindly hand offering you a pot there, and he needs something special up his sleeve, which I don't personally think he's got.

Make up some chips without committing too many of your own, call.

Call it, it's looking good from your perspective and perhaps he was looking to bet you out the game? So long as it's not making a huge dent in your stack, definitely stick with a call as a safeguard against what he may be holding, but from here that looks pretty good.
