So why am I proud?
Because my read on my opponent was dead on! I thought to myself... "That raise was very suspicious. It was way too big! He hasn’t been bullying the table that much, and he obviously doesn’t want to see a flop. I think the only hands he might make that raise with is 99, TT, JJ or maybe QQ... with JJ being the most likely. I *know* he wouldn’t make a raise that big with AA! But with JJ or QQ, he will call my all in."
I was right, and busted out... but at least I was right. |

This is a huge beat that I laid on someone yesterday. I was playing a HU game and was dealt
Ace Spade Queen Spade I was up about 3:1 so if he doubled up we were even again. He'd made some horrible plays anyway and I wasn't laying this hand down against this guy.
He moved all in w/ Oueen Hearts Queen Clubs
Flop had the Queen Diamonds Ten Clubs Three (trey) Hearts
I catch runner runner for the nuts. Didn't feel bad about it though. |

Well read sours, it had the hallmarks of a reasonably big hand and true to the guys form he had one.
Shame you lost out but as you said at least you read him - next time, try reading a little earlier and save yourself a few chips
Norsh - I wouldn't feel sorry either, because next time it'll be me on the wrong end of the river card! |
