The blinds that is. I have a few random thoughts on this subject.
Playing aggresively against a constant stealer nuetralizes things. If you lay down the weak hands and come back over him with the stronger hands they will quit trying to steal from you.
Protecting blinds is simply bad business. You almost always need to hit a flop to continue. Your playing out of positon. You are calling which is never as effective as betting. Even when you do hit a flop, it is not alkways a good thing, you are often outkicked. What good is a J-10 when you have called agaisnt a J-Q????
I say just let it go unless you have a hand you can really play. |

So you aren't protecting with J-10 petronder?? What hands are suitable to protect with from the BB when the button comes in raising and you're in the BB?
A-7o?
K-9s?
2s?
8-9s?
4-5o? |

I would personally protect with J-10, and in fact if it's cheap to do so I would play with almost any hand had I posted one of the blinds, in particular the big blind.
Whereas this isn't good play, it does make you less of an easy target when it comes to these so called stealers. It's easy to extract blinds out of people by raising before or after the flop - as you said, it's not good play to lose money consistantly, but you've got to do something about it. I would suggest playing aggressively - which means playing with J-10 |
