I got totally mad session last Sunday - it was $20/40 Holdem where I was ahead more than 1.5K and ended 1.4K down.
This hand was a milestone after that I did not win any single hand for more than 4 hours of play.
On a cutoff I call EP raise withQueen Spade Jack Spade after two more callers.
BB three bet and 5 of us saw the flop Ace Clubs King Clubs Ten Spade .
It is capped on flop with 4 people staying.
Turn Ace Clubs King Clubs Ten Spade Nine Spade . BB bet, EP calls, MP calls, I raise,
BB three bet, EP calls, MP folds and I cap.
RiverAce Clubs King Clubs Ten Spade Nine Spade Six Spade . BB bet, EP raise, I call and BB call.
EP has Ace Spade Seven Spade to beat my flush and King Hearts King Diamonds of BB.
This is probably the most frustrating hand I played for last couple of years.
I really felt as if a fortune abandoned me. I do not even think I went on tilt after that but I kept losing hand after hand including pocket pairs, AK, AQ and all others.
This is not a whining or bad beat story, just some illustration how cold streaks work. The curious fact is I had 12 winning sessions in a row before that, this one was first losing one, I have 3 more until today and lost all of them. |

Ouch, that's unlucky. You went in with a very strong hand and I too would have been confident with that. As for the last two cards down, somebody must have been smiling down on that guy/gal... did you ask whether or not they were religious? I'm sure that was verging on a miracle
But, you can see clearly that even on form, you can get dealt a good hand and lose, never mind a bad one. |
